Bessarabian market
Bessarabian market is on the Bessarabian Square - Downtown is the beginning. The city boundaries of the area included in the 30-40s of the XIX century. Earlier, at the end of XVIII century there was a horse-post station. These travelers arriving from the south.
In those days, around the horse-trading stations were active. It just came to sell fruit and wine farmers from Bessarabia. This explains the name of the area.
